Zeynep Koç won the Cultural and Leisure Project of the Year prize at the 2019 British Construction Industry Awards.

Zeynep Koç is a trustee of the new Cambridge Central Mosque, which is Europe’s first eco-friendly mosque. She joined the project in 2012 and since then undertook and oversaw fundraising efforts as well as press relations and overseas engagements. In 2011, Zeynep was awarded the Dr. Herchel Smith Fellowship at the University of Cambridge to conduct research about the MENA region. She has an MPhil in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge and a B.A. from Williams College in Economics and Arabic Studies. From 2016 to 2019, she also worked at international think tanks and published articles about the MENA region, and currently she is continuing her PhD at the Istanbul University. “
