Ms. Işık was born in İstanbul. She graduated from George Mason University in 2010, Washington, DC. She had a BA in Psychology and a minor degree in Global Affairs. In 2013 she received her MA degree in Cultural Studies from Istanbul Şehir University and worked as an assistant at Istanbul Şehir University between the years 2010- 2012. Then she worked as managing editor at Lacivert Dergi (monthly magazine), 2013-2015. In 2016, she worked as clinical psychologist at MEVA Hospital and Ümraniye Municipality. She currently works as Deputy General Manager at Green Crescent Society and she is about to finish her second MA degree in Clinical Psychology. Sultan Işık also works voluntarily as the Head of Social Awareness and Project Commission at KADEM, and she is a member of Green Crescent Society since 2015. She has worked voluntarily as a social worker and psychologist at the different Syrian Refugee camps in Turkey.
